       Super looking forward to the experts who laughed about Metaverse and smart glasses who will within days switch to it being the future cause Tim Apple says so.(Yes most of the stuff is dumb and not suitable for the real world outside of niche use cases in spite of who makes the hard- and software)

       @tante what I wonder most about is, how they came about doing this a decade after google glass failed so spectacularly, after the metaverse is something people not even laugh about anymore. OTOH they had consistently good hits with new products over the last three decades, with only few hard flops.

       @Nfoonf I don't fully agree. The Watches work because they are Apple and as a status symbol but as tech products they failed basically as much as the whole field.

       @Nfoonf Commercially. I guess Apple will get its fans to buy the glasses as well, it *is* a cult after all. I'm just looking forward how people twist themselves into knots to legitimize *this* thing when they shat on it when Meta build similar stuff.

       @tante but did they really ridicule the product or metas intended business model behind the product? this btw the same with apples new product. I do not know of any problem, this stuff is the answer for, besides probably maintenance for jet engines or submarine nuclear reactors.

       @tante @Nfoonf Smart watches before Apple Watch were genuinely terrible. (Disclaimer: I don’t have an Apple Watch) They also work because of the tight ecosystem integration.
