@sickburnbro Chick-fil-A is privately owned by the founder’s family. I started looking into it and didn’t see any gossip or red flags regarding WHY this could’ve happened. They don’t appear to have any plans for IPO, and there’s no scandals I’ve heard. My guess is some type of blackmail. Somebody in the family got caught talking about fags or troons and this was the negotiated response along with some hush money so that when the story eventually leaks they’ll already have “taken proactive matters to create a more inclusive and welcoming culture for everyone!” and the evil bigot grandfather can be quietly sunset from the family business.
