       in a perfect world, there wouldn't be separate DMs for every app; there would just be some messaging protocol that all apps used, and we'd have 1 unified inbox. Meta is *kinda* going for this but obviously it's limited to their services and it's a privacy nightmare. We need some kind of federated Signal
