       @Mummabear Since it’s a genetic disorder; why is it “suddenly” the fastest growing disease? It can’t possibly be a connection between say, the MNRA stew they tested on the population. Must just be a coincidence. 🤷‍♂️

       @RandomDaemon  exactly.they teach this in school as part of the science of genes.It originates from one place in Africa I think. I thought it was very rare.

       @Mummabear The other possibility of course is that there is a concentration of immigrants who are more likely to be predisposed to that genetic disorder. The new article didn’t mention that possibility at all. It seemed to be more of an advertisement for the blood exchange program. Typical scientific reporting where they barely know what they are talking about let alone ask questions that are relevant.
