       @sarvo @nihil Some cities have small private sectors which look like a village within the city, but yeah, mostly people live in panel apartment buildings. Also some people own Dacha (basically a summer house), not really a place to live all year, but rather to chill during summer and grow vegetables. Look it up if you are interested

       @Earmuffs @nihil @sarvo by south i meant the south of the city i linked on google maps lmao, sorry. and yeah it's because of soviet politics. it actually helped to solve a huge soviet housing crisis afaik, because the panel apartments were easy, fast and relatively cheap to build. but take my words with grain of salt
