       @killyourfm @be4foss @Linux4Everyone this doesn't shock me, I was just thinking last night, I wonder how many wonderful and amazing songs are written but never get heard because the writer was famous enough or had a label and just get lost in the sands of time never to be fully appreciated

It's not just music, it's YouTube videos no one will ever watch, blurry photos that no one will ever look at, backups of backups of backups that will never be used etc. But who gets to be the arbiter of what qualifies as digital waste and what doesn't? Not an easy question. An even harder question to answer is what can be done about it.
