Marketing Consultant: Naming your brand can make or break your business. The name must resonate with the public, be reflective of your product, and instill trust in your consumers.GoDaddy: We are going to name our company GoDaddy and it will be wildly successful and for some reason nobody will question why we chose such a weird fucking name.

@lowqualityfacts SurveyMonkey (already a terrible name) chose to keep WuFoo as a sub-brand when they acquired them and I think about that a lot.

@lowqualityfacts haha back when I used them I'd even feel embarrassed saying that I had a domain there. I almost wonder if the name was part of the appeal - you know that it's a discounted domain name place with such a silly name. You save money by not caring that the name is so silly.

@lowqualityfacts My headcanon is that it was originally GodAddy because your domain name was meant to be the address at which your deity would speak to you.

@lowqualityfacts Probably because "AyPapi" would have really been creepy.

@lowqualityfacts I mean, at least they got a domain name with vowels in it. If they had waited a bit longer, it would have been gdddy.
