@TopKnot @AnarchoNinaWrites ChatGPT and similar "AI" are just "stochastic parrots". It is very good in simulating natural language, as it knows what words should follow other words in a specific context. However, it has no concept of meaning or correctness. The generated "facts" are statistically likely, but not necessarily true. Therefore, it shouldn't be seen as a search engine or even a calculator, because that's not what it does. It simulates language, nothing more, nothing less.

And as many new technologies it will be used to produce #FUD, lie, sabotage, and steal from people money, liberty and other things our society is based on. It can be used for good things too, but we usually first do the ugly shit first.
