@killyourfm @jcrabapple I humbly have to disagree. As a genx fan of a good chunk of these albums, I’d argue that every year has tons of incredible albums released! If you depend on Billboard to guide you, then yeah, you may be disappointed, but holy hell, every Friday is a gold mine waiting to be discovered. If I may recommend. @killyourfm @jcrabapple Rock ain’t dead. It’s just not Top 40 popular. Personally, I’m okay with that. But seriously, rock never died and every year there’s hundreds/thousands of rock albums coming out to embrace. If you are on spotify, dive into those rabbit holes like it’s the 80s/90s. They have that personalized Release Radar playlist that’s fun, but pick a band/song/album you like and let it build a radio station for you. Discovery is the best part!

@killyourfm that was the year I graduated high school. Lollapalooza festivals also kicked off around that time. We thought it was “our ‘60s” and failed to make any real difference just as our parents failed before us.
