Can't you see the look of disgust on her face? She's there to prevent any images of Boebert from appearing with the link. Mastodon provides no other mechanism for this other than including your own image.

@lauren I know you've described it before, but I don't recall the details.Does "automatically insert a random-semi-related image into a post if it contains no images" only happen in rare circumstances? I don't think I've ever seen a post that had it happen. I definitely haven't seen it happen with any of mine.Does it only affect use of mobile apps rather than the web client, maybe?#Mastodon #automatic #image

@cazabon The issue is images pulled automatically from the target pages of links mentioned in a post. Same as Twitter.
