       Why does the #FediVerse call it the #Fedi and not #ActivityPub?  Just wondering why everyone agreed on the name Fediverse lol.

       @Zach777 > Why does the fediverse call it the fedi and not ActivityPub? Basically the same reason we call chat "chat" instead of "XMPP" or "Matrix". It's useful to have a protocol-agnostic name for a network or medium. The term "fediverse" was around before AP existed, when the network was using OStatus. If we were to replace AP with another protocol, it would still be the fediverse.@helge
