@Kerosene @picandor I am more concerned about the question of:Why did so many companies became unable to release a stable game?Every single aspect of game development should have become easier in the last 3 decades. I have seen some single developers do unbelievable shit on their own in a few weeks. This should not be possible.

They prioritize promotion based on social and ideological factors, while rejecting any concept of promotion based on merit. I don't know if you remember back during the Gate That Shall Not Be Named, the concept of "meritocracy" came under fire as sexist and racist, because white and asian men were the ones with all the merit.

@picandor I was watching DF Direct the other day and heard Alex talking about how shitty it is that they're saying "we are sorry that some users are experiencing this" as if it isn't ALL USERS that are experiencing it. If your game is a fucking mess, it's not like it'll run super smoothly on some machines magically when the top of the line still struggles and it isn't like you can go back and make the game LOOK any better either.
