I called the pharmacy a few days ago to order my estradiol and Decapeptyl. They said they'd call me back when it was ready. That was unusual, normally they canntell me when they'll get it delivered.Anyway so they didn't call me back.I went there to check in on it, and as it turns out, they did receive my order! They just didn't have my phone number 🤣 (they thought they had it in their records but they did not)Also they told me they could write me into their planning and order my medication every 4 weeks for me, so I don't have to call 😮 I was like YOU CAN DO THAT?!?(I've been on HRT for 7 months already and I was calling them every month to order, if only I had known...)Lessons learnt today:- Pharmacies can order your medication for you on a regular basis- If someone says they'll call you back, make sure they have your number 😆

@ahriboy it's either by injection or oral right? I heard oral estradiol is more dangerous, and I don't wanna do injections that often, and also we just don't have injectable estradiol in france anyway

@iro_miya you can get decapeptyl every 3 months, it’s how I get mine. (And they give me a 12 month supply of E now 😃)

@ahriboy well I get gelSo it seems that if you swallow the pills, there's a risk of thrombosis because of the hormones going through the liver.You can avoid that by taking it sublingual, meaning you let it melt under your tongue. However, when you do that, the E hormone levels will drop and so you need to take more pills, apparently every 8-12 hours, which would be pretty similar to how I need to apply gel twice a day.So I guess gel and pills are pretty similar.Also, it doesnt seem like injections are more unsafe? As long as you do it well of course.

@iro_miya@mk.absturztau.be @ahriboy@mk.absturztau.be Yeah, EV is one of the shortest acting injectable esters so like, to get stable levels you have to inject it pretty often.Only the pills really have the issue of going through the liver yeah.Gel, patches, injections don't have that problem.

@lunareclipse @iro_miya @ahriboy there are other hormons I do take oraly, so thats my concern, but guess I can reserch it.For E here as far as I know they only provide pills, but that may have changed as its a long time sinze I read on the matter
