My favourite category of media is "stuff that shouldn't have been greenlit because the concept is wildly unlikely to work"See The Good Place, Being John Malkovich, iZombieAdd to that: Mrs. Davis. It's absolutely fantastic, cannot recommend highly enough. It's just SO weird, and each episode manages to get weirder.It's about a nun engaged in battle against an AI. Any more than that would be spoilers - I strongly suggest going in cold.

And for anyone who's watched it, I'll just say that as someone who has been a young, optimistic and naive software engineer (and maybe still is at least two of those things) I found the twist in the last episode SO relatable

@simon Have you seen Search Party? I'm not sure it quite fits "how did this get greenlit?", but it's definitely in the related camp of "how did this get renewed for five seasons?". These categories also happen to overlap quite a bit with one of my favorites, "better than it has any right to be".

@simon I recall watching iZombie when it first started airing, but I think I fell off between seasons or something. I'll have to revisit it.The movie I've most recently (re)watched in this category is Goosebumps (2015). It's not my favorite movie or anything, but you can tell that everyone involved took a very silly concept very seriously.

@simon I am interested to know what you think if you do. The fact that it originally aired on TBS is pretty strange, and then its genre varies season to season in a way that most TV shows would not attempt.

I was kinda guessing that the nun's decision in the last episode was based on the series being canceledLike if they we're going to have another season, then she would have made the other decision -- which would have been very interesting. @simon I absolutely loved this show. Strong agreement with going in as cold as possible. Watching things just continue to be even crazier at every reveal is a big part of the fun.
