       Perhaps the single most important lesson from today's DeSantis #Twitter Fiasco is the total and utter lack of judgment shown by his choosing to announce his run with Musk via Twitter. Pretty much all anyone really needs to know about him.

       @lauren I think the lesson with Ron DeSantis is, and must always be, "isn't he the guy that kidnapped 50 people?"Or, maybe, if one gets tired of pointing out the massive kidnapping operation he orchestrated, one can always fall back on his "Guantanamo Ron" torture backstory.

       @escarpment There is universal agreement that his Twitter launch was a fiasco. On the other hand, you'll find plenty of people who support him for those incidents you mentioned.

       @lauren Agreed. To me a key factor is how he found a way to remain apart from actual interaction with live audiences. In terms of key goals many say he needs to attain - showing he is human, to start: an ability to engage in reciprocal conversation etc. And that extends to "being likable".So what does he do? He hides behind a twitter platform, away from easy access except for the new #Muskville regulars (#GQP / #TrumpVIrus / #TrumpVirus / #disinformation & conspiracy fans). No baby kissing.
