       This won't change anyone's life much here in CT. It's already way too expensive to live here, and $15 an hour won't help. What it will do is push teenagers who would normally get a job for the summer to do nothing or work under the table. In high school, I was a lifeguard, painter, rubblizer (demolition), and camp counselor.        @wolfspider I worked for an ex-mil guy who did EODWe used some kind of cord that had  some kind of accelerant in it. We'd tape it to plaster walls, run a current through it, and it would break up the cement/plaster nicely. It would save us hours of slamming walls with sledgehammers

       @CrimeaRiver if it was indexed to inflation it would be closer to 22 an hour. If it was indexed to gold it would be 45 an hour

       @CrimeaRiver Where are you in CT? I live in the Northwest Corner. I think the minimum wage bump is good for folks, but all it will do is accelerate inflation which is already crazy here... It's going to take a mental shift for employers, especially in manufacturing, that have been making in on low margins for years.

       @CrimeaRiver since you've been in highschool, inflation has gone haywire and 15 dollars an hour isn't as much as it used to be. Regardless, your still right, the minimum wage never changes, it's $0.
