       @sneeden somewhat thankfully youtube lost it's general usefulness a long time ago for me. It's garbage for tech videos anymore due to The Great Poo Flood. Most of the channels I cared about just outright died. Discoverability is gone and all I ever get recommended is clickbait.My use of youtube is now constrained to about 3 channels that I get via newpipe. I don't even know what the desktop client looks like anymore

       If YouTube manages to block ad blockers I'm going to be sending out some very late Christmas gifts to hardworking Google executives. Definitely not a euphemism, just a genuine expression of how much one of their users appreciates the hard work they do.
