@Rasterman @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @Jim to be fair to Sony, at least about the Playstation and the "L/R" buttons, the Playstation started as a joint venture between Nintendo and Sony as a CD-ROM add on for the SNES, but Nintendo bailed out at the last minute due to disagreements about the licensing or something like that.Then Sony decided that, since the project was at a very advanced stage, they would simply follow through with it and release it as a stand alone product. And that's why the Playstation bears many similarities to the SNES, like the control layout and the color of the console.
