At #SINO's presser, McCarthy indicated that HE WOULDN'T MAKE ANY CONCESSIONS🚨. As usual he repeated Republican talking points & blamed Biden & Dems for everything. I don't know what Presi Biden will do now, but it's impossible to make a deal with seditious domestic terrorists who shouldn't be serving in the USG *only there bc the institution didn't hold after J6. Voting to overturn the 2020 election should've meant 147 MOC were ineligible to serve. McCarthy & most GOP Reps don't support the USG.

@KimPerales Biden is masterfully using the debt ceiling in order to jump start budget negotiations in order to have the best chance for avoiding a government shutdown this fall is what it looks like to me.He's a master politician and has an experienced team of negotiators. What the media is reporting is mainly just bothsideism speculation that never accounts for Biden's experience and past success under similar situations it seems to me.

@GreenFire I hope you're correct, but I don't trust McCarthy. He's my Rep, so I know that he has no integrity & will use this opportunity to use his power for nefarious means. I trust President Biden, but McCarthy is willing to do anything to stay in power.

@KimPerales McCarthy is more powerless than he thinks he is I'm thinking, but only time will tell. I cannot think of any better politician available than Biden to be in charge during this attempt by the GOP to harm the USA so I'm not stressing on a potential #DebtCrisis

@GreenFire I agree, but I've lost much of my trust in the USG given that there haven't been consequences for the inciters & enablers of J6, other than the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol. TFG may get indicted, but I'm not sure if his co-conspirators will be actually be held criminally responsible. I have some hope, but AG Garland must bring the goods.

@GreenFire It's difficult to stomach watching a man who's not only unqualified, but committed sedition, negotiating over the debt ceiling with the president, knowing he's willing to destroy the global economy for his ego & RW fantasies of making Dems obsolete, & taking over the USG, by any means possible. You can't make this up. This is an 'expert' that Fox News is using to help McCarthy's side on the debt ceiling debacle. I'm grateful that I'm don't know who he is. Apparently he's a 'professional wrestler" & Fox News contributor. He joined the network in 2016 & regularly contributes to FNC's late night program Gutfeld.

@KimPerales They all but literally worship the guy who said that the most terrifying words in the English language were "we're from the government and we're here to help." Lack of support of the government is the party's platform...because it stops them from discriminating against everyone not exactly like them.

He sold his soul to TFG (in essence -but doesn't always agree with him). Even his mentor, retired Rep Thomas, who ushered him in to Congress, chastised him after J6 & wrote an op-ed in the local newspaper indicating his disgust for McCarthy.
