@GettingCooked every time they've broken a promise is a deault of a sort. Taking the dollar off the gold standard, twice, for example. Propping up bank depositors for over the FDIC limit so long as enough of those depositors have connections is another. Every bank bailout is a default that steals from every solvent business in the economy.

@GettingCooked I do not think that we actually default on anything. I feel that is more a tatic. I recall that when they were threatening each other last few times about defaulting, it was discussed we do not actually default on debt. (certain debt)

@Sophistifunk @GettingCooked It's like Russian Roulette: if you keep playing the game, eventually something bad will happen.My only definite prediction is that #gold will go up in USD terms. By the way, the #RoyalCanadianMint has an ETF for gold in their vaults, backed by the Canadian government. Maybe worth considering.
