       I'm ahead a few weeks on my podcast for the first time in years, and although it's great, it's also disorienting. I keep forgetting what day it is and what is live and what is still coming. Part of the problem is that I'm ahead on the show, but not the newsletter or my social media posts, so they aren't in synch.I'm linked at the hip to my spreadsheets at this point to keep track of what I'm supposed to be doing.#Podcasting

       @grammargirl Out of curiosity, do you use any sort of planning tool like Trello or Notion to line up your podcast and newsletter content? I've tried to use Trello, but I don't seem to keep up with it in the long run—I let it get too stale to be useful.

       @grammargirl something unrelated, do you usually use the "synch" spelling? I know that some people use it, but I've only ever seen "sync" (without the h) since many many years. So it feels weird when I saw you use it.

       @grammargirl yes! This! It’s this side of podcasting so many don’t understand. There’s so much more than just talking into a mic, that’s usually the easiest bit, it’s all the marketing, prep, keeping track of everything that’s hard and energy sapping.

       @grammargirl The putting live can be a right PITA and really time consuming. Does your host let you schedule pods? I've done up to 19th June right now with all audio & social media posts and blog posts scheduled so I don't have to think about it.

       @richardgunther I've occasionally tried other tools, but spreadsheets and Google calendar entries still work best for me.It's one of those things where I feel like if I put in 10 hours learning a new tool, it might be better, but I haven't been willing to take the risk.
