       Ignore/misunderstand/play dumb about #GDPR all you want at your own peril.Just because US regulators are extremely slow at understanding and addressing consumer privacy doesn't mean that the EU is. This whole issue stems from the fact that #PrivacyShield wasn't good enough to cover GDPR requirements, and as that was ruled inadequate by the EU, companies like META essentially chose to put their heads in the sand instead of changing their processes and procedures to meet GDPR, and it finally hurt them.
