A Florida woman was denied an abortion for her fetus with Potter syndrome which meant no survival outside the womb. She had to carry until 37 weeks & then go through labor, delivery, baby's death, funeral. ‘The law has created torture.’https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/interactive/2023/florida-abortion-law-deborah-dorbert/

@amydiehl It reminds me of Debbie Reynold's story. She was able to get an abortion, but what a horrible thing to force a woman to endure, when we have the knowledge to at least minimize harms. No compassion at all. This is about hating on women. Punishing them. Definitely nothing to do with life.

@JoBlakely @amydiehl I didn't know that I could get pregnant until my first miscarriage. Abortion is forbidden where I live. I spent hours bleeding alone at home, waiting for my then husband to take me to the hospital. I was in shock and pain, grief washing over me, and I will never forget the hate on the eyes of the medical staff, asking me if I did it on purpose. It gave me the exact measure of my life then and there. I'll never forget how little my life matters.
