       @CSB There needs to be a greater distinction between AI and AGI. AI used to mean a conscious self thinking machine..now it's just a marketing term for any back propagation based learning algorithm.I think that's the objection. But I may of course be wrong

       @CSB @PakkonenCT There used to be the terms “hard AI” and “soft AI” to distinguish between them. As usual, there’s a big difference between what actual experts in a field are doing and the fantasy world of movies and TV that act as the foundation for the knowledge of the general public. That wouldn’t be so concerning if we didn’t have a powerful centralized state making decisions that impact every detail of our lives based on appealing to the miseducated public.
