There's a lot of discussion about whether or not Russia has taken the entirety of #Bakhmut. I just want to remind everyone that the battle for Bakhmut began well before #Russia entered the city center, so the existence of the battle does not depend on both sides being inside the city. Regardless whether #Ukraine still has a few blocks, the battle for Bakhmut is still ongoing. Only in the coming time it will happen more around the city and not so much inside it.

@anderspuck Assuming Wagner actually does withdraw by Thursday (likely not, of course - Prigozhin never seems to do what he declares he will), the battle would soon be over though.

@ekknappenberger @osma @anderspuck I have little doubt that the putative fall of Bakhmut is the “success” that Putin has been planning to launch his further mass mobilisation from.I would expect news on this within the week. Who fancies a wager?
