Jasper started his #Caturday with a good chin scratchin’. I see it’s about time to trim his claws, always an ordeal with El Malandro.#cats #CatsOfMastodon #photography

@passthejoe we conveniently used to take him to the Cat Dr, a clinic in our neighborhood, every 6 weeks or so. They had a technique (which I cannot reproduce) that worked with him though the vet tech got bit pretty good the first couple of times, after that they were best friends. But we moved away from there a couple of years ago and now try to do it ourselves, can usually get one or 2 claws done before the real biting begins, so it takes a few days before we get them all.

@Trilobyter Two of ours have normal cat daggers, but one still has the thin razors of kittenhood. She’s also the one I keep saying I’m going to drug to clip hers, but I never do. I’ve never seen an adult cat with claws like hers.
