Anyone out there with a Linux machine with UEFI Secure Boot enabled and a file present at /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/SecureBootSetup-7b59104a-c00d-4158-87ff-f04d6396a915 want to do an experiment that probably won't brick your machine?

@mjg59 I have a machine like that, but I"d very *very* much would not like to brick it.

@mjg59 I mean it's an Asus board, they're in the news right now for extreme firmware-based explosion-related incompetence

@mjg59 @directhex Huh. I would have expected reasonably-modern Dells to have had marginally competent FW, but my (2018) XPS 15 doesn't have that var.

@mjg59 I see that file. 11 bytes. Contents: "07 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00". I don't think Secure Boot is enabled but I probably could. Go on :) (machine is Intel NUC6i7KYB)
