In rare good news, Supreme Court rules for Twitter/Google in content cases involving terrorism. There are two related actions. One is a unanimous decision for #Twitter that it was not responsible for terrorist content. The other is an unsigned opinion taking a similar stance related to #Google. These were done narrowly, so broader issues of Section 230 immunity were not addressed at this time.https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/18/twitter-google-supreme-court-win-00097643

@lauren I think it's probably the right place to put the ruling. I was a little surprised that the case got to SCOTUS in the first place... It felt like a tall uphill battle to affix responsibility for someone's actions to an org that---the moment it knows the party it "colluded with" is doing something on their platform---moderates them right off the platform.

@mtomczak There are others (230 related) coming from red states that are far less certain to be decided in ways that are not highly disruptive and impractical. Unclear at this time what the court will do with them.
