@amerika I have an Irish surname, but it is one of the oldest and rarest surnames, my family came to America in the 1600’s, they were fishermen and had their own ships, the Irish that came over in the 1800’s were different. I live in the southeast US and own property, there’s no way in hell I would ever agree to be sent to Africa, I would fight until I ran out of bullets.

@Vedrfolnir Is it Irish, Scots-Irish, or English who were living in Ireland?

@amerika Have you read the history of Ireland? The book of invasions? And also the part of Ireland that my ancestors are from was never conquered by Cromwell.

@amerika the ones you mentioned coming from Spain were called the Milesians, they invaded later, but I’ve researched my family history extensively and according to the annals my ancestors were the Tuatha De Danann, if you look at the book of invasions some people think it is all just myth, but it’s not, I’ve spent years researching it and can trace my surname all the way back to the sept in a certain province and then trace it back to the ancestor to those septs, and then from that to the Tuatha De Danann. Records were better preserved in Ireland, while England and continental Europe was in the dark ages, Ireland wasn’t.
