@iro_miya imo, i thing any "pressed" coffee is french press. the idea is the same. but that's just me. im def not the authority on coffee prep. ;-)

@begamit @iro_miya They both involve a plunger, but French press is an immersion brew that uses a course grind and relies on a long steep, using the plunger only for filtration; whereas Aeropress uses a finer grind with (depending on who you ask) a much shorter steep and using the pressure of the plunge to perform extraction. Reminiscent of espresso preparation, but at much lower pressure (and entirely different, flavor-wise).
