The letter contained:NO statement how that data will be collected (anonymous? Stored directly next to my name in their database?)NO statement about whether the conclusion of such surveys will be published (i.e. will it only be published if they like the results?)NO statement about what these questions will be like (possibly loaded questions where any response could be interpreted as something I did not mean)NO statement about whether this is handled by a third party institution (which may be unbiased) or the same people who have arrested me. I will not participate in a silly survey about my arrest. This is the dumbest thing ever. Only the police could come up with this.

As a professional activist (with lots of expertise in being arrested) I rate your services a solid 7.5/10, too little brutality compared to your peers, but very enthusiastic anger about the entire ordeal. You REALLY let everyone know you hated your life and job. Additionally, the complete lack of knowledge about the reasoning behind searching through our bags and clothes as well as our legal status (next to forgetting to tell us our rights/Miranda rights) is just the icing of the cake! My services cost 5000€/hr, I DO accept checks!

@lain @Erik I've heard that climate protester celebrities will request pretend arrests from police ahead of time, so at their protest the police will perform a ceremonial arrest for them, so they can get their photo op, and their white savior moment.

It IS funny, and apparently there’s a Hotline I can call to ask any questions about the survey which I will do tomorrow. Like, I’m now actually quite interested to see what they’ll ask.The letter also mentions that I was one of 40k lucky people randomly selected for this! This is like winning the reverse lottery.

I had a knee injury recently so I was wearing a prosthesis and I couldn’t show them as my pants were too thin to pull up from the bottom, so one of them requested for me to pull down my pants, then the other said “Dude, no. I know what this is. Let him go.” hahahahaThey did touch my testicles tho

We had a “transpi” (German slang for banner) and a megaphone (as well as a couple of signs).But since we COULD have had pepper spray or a BOMB inside of our bags that was apparently enough reason for them to search us. That’s it, we committed no crime. At the end we were also let go and had zero charges nothing.They just threw whatever they could at us to keep us there the longest and annoy us. A girl in our group took all our phones as she wasn’t supposed to be caught and hence they couldn’t check them, so OBVIOUSLY the police accused her of having stolen them and used that as a justification for searching her.One guy had an incorrect name on an event ticket (“incorrect” i.e. not the same as the name on his ID) so obviously the police accused him of having stolen that ticket too and used that as a justification for searching him, etc. etc.It was just a big shit show! It’s better I think, but still not good. People always point to the US and say “that’s bad!” but then do zero reflection to see that the underlying systemic problems (in terms of oversight and accountability) still aren’t better here than in the US.
