@prahou I was talking very lightly to @icedquinn and @masinter about non-git version control systems.https://blob.cat/objects/06d2cce0-90f4-495c-842a-85bae8d3785ficedquinn was exploring non-git-like version control (particularly pijul patch based revisions) and I brought up this part of interlisp's programming system: Basically you can toggle which revision of a given file is currently active (the files are transparent; interlisp tracks your definitions and files them for you/tells you about em)The relation of interlisp to git

OK The #binryhop #example #scenarios . #deep #ai #original The txt files are eminently viewable ascii art dumps of the output neurons.IScenario one. There's only one memory. An input converges to that in one breadth-first pass.gopher://tilde.institute/0/~screwtape/deep-binry-hop-egs/scenarios/just-one-memory.txthttps://gopher.floodgap.com/gopher/gw.lite?=tilde.institute+70+302f7e7363726577746170652f646565702d62696e72792d686f702d6567732f7363656e6172696f732f6a7573742d6f6e652d6d656d6f72792e747874IIScenario two. There are five memories. The memories are not spaced out enough, and become stuck in an erroneous stable state.https://gopher.floodgap.com/gopher/gw.lite?=tilde.institute+70+302f7e7363726577746170652f646565702d62696e72792d686f702d6567732f7363656e6172696f732f666976652d6d656d6f726965732d6261642d737461626c652e7478741/2

@prahou @icedquinn @masinter to interlisp is and is being carefully designed, due to git's ubiquity and integration with web. @dekkzz76 the scenario 3 example is also interesting in that it takes two breadth-first neuron-update passes to find a memory. Picture attachments for these toots incoming.picture: I accidentally bit-reversed bytes of one stage of the output. But it was messed up anyway so I'm not fixing it here.

@screwtape @prahou @masinter bitkeeper also kind of does that. You can choose which serials to pull out of the weave file at a given moment.
