I can't say that turnips are the first thing that jump out at me while shopping, but I do like the way they taste. I mostly use them in the fall and winter when making a roast. @DeborahLeagueFineArt Not peppery exactly. It's more like a mild, yet tangy squash. It pairs well with sliced apples and carrot sticks.
