@grammargirl Any headline about that story that doesn't include the word "scam" feels like a bad headline. "I'm scamming hundreds of people using AI" is about the same length.

@madikonrad The whole "thousands" framing is dishonest. *Technically* it's thousands, but it's a pittance for the amount of work it must have taken even if he was churning them out with AI. I think he said he wrote the quickest one in 3 hours, and I presume that doesn't count the time to upload it. So at best, he made about a dollar an hour.Another way to look at it: There are ~300 days in 10 months. So he published 1.5 books a day. Maybe ~$6 per day.
