Agreed but:1. No simping for the tax man. Our problems would not be over if (((the rich))) were taxed more, they control the government anyhow so it'd just move spending decisions from one institution they control to another.2. For the same reason public vs. private debates are largely irrelevant. The federal reserve is private, so are big tech, but they're so intertwined with government power that their "private" status is meaningless. A more meaningful distinction would be "theft sector" vs. "voluntary sector."

@MPgh @KeithDJohnson @oldredsubby Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump...There definitely should be no IRS deductions for charities of any kind or PSAs to support them. Even more especially, there should be no deductions for religious donations. If there were ever an evil billionaire (and remember, corporations are people) laundering its reputation with token charities it's the Vatican.

@JSAMcFarlane @MPgh @KeithDJohnson @oldredsubby Definitely hitting an old philosophical war injury here! I actually believe that there should be NO private schools, K-12. Not any. To home school one would have to produce at least a bachelor's degree and it can't be in religious studies or some such hokum. Even now, there should be no tax deductions for private schooling. College tuition should be a deduction only for state or community colleges/universities, not for Yale or Dartmouth.
