       @Archivist @chjara @ariadne erm... except that's not what i said?the etymology of panhandling, as in the way the word is build up "handling" = using, "pan" -> references to the beggar holding a pan for money. that's a bit odd but it makes sense. etymology is a cool field, i like seeing what makes up the words we use in our daily lives or how certain slang works.i do think this report is frankly a bit silly all things considered and imo should've been dismissed.
