       @lucifargundam i'm honestly curious if anyone can make a compelling case to entrust someone with no credentials or experience with the kind of money that student loans amount to.show me ANY industry that doesn't enjoy government protection that accepts this level of risk.

       @icedquinn Tempted to agree.  The prevalence of absurd amounts of "free" financing for students led to universities gouging the pricing, bloat the shit out of their administration staff which then  led to needing larger loan amounts- repeat forever. Unrolling that would cause some high drama, and more than a few notable dissolutions.  But honestly should be done.
