Sandra (my wife) and I have access to each other's real-time(ish) location, whenever we want (via Home Assistant). Sandra mentioned it to a friend the other day, and they were very surprised - not judgmental, just surprised - and unsure how they felt about it.Would you be comfortable sharing your real-time(ish) location with your partner(s)?

@neil I probably wouldn't, for reasons similar to why I would never give anyone my phone PIN nor ask for theirs.

@neil @Roofhare I guess it's a matter of trust. If someone doesn't trust you to behave yourself without constant monitoring, they are your jailer, not your partner.

@mansr @Roofhare Sure, and if someone is in an abusive relationship, forcing the abused person to share their location is another form of abuse / coercive control.But if the sharing is consensual, as is the case with us, it's a completely different situation.
