CNN has schizophrenia. Create a misinformation spectacle with your least experienced reporter, then have your seasoned journalists criticize what their own network created. WTH…And they REALLY suck right now. “Putting him onstage…sends a message that attempting a coup is just part of the process; that accepting election results is a choice; and that there are no consequences… ”https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/political-commentary/cnn-trump-town-hall-abomination-michael-fanone-1234732510/amp/https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-cnn-town-hall/index.html#News #Politics #CNN #TrumpNote to CNN ———> (ask Fox)

@Deglassco all the mindless amplification of Trump’s purposefully transgressive rhetoric as #news is so pathetic. Such pathetic #journalism. I’m begging #journalists to not just react to everything he says. That ONLY makes him the center of attention and is a huge reason why he won. Mindless amplification helps him seem like a relevant phenomenon. Gives him momentum.

@LaureM @Deglassco that's exactly why they do it. Trump has friends in powerful positions, within the news networks. No matter what they _say_, what they're _doing_ clearly favours him. It's all just theatrics

@fcktheworld587 @LaureM well, it’s pretty clear. They’re all jockeying for ratings, but there’s a way do without sacrificing your journalistic principles. This was completely irresponsible.

@Deglassco @LaureM it's not about the ratings. The execs understand that Trump being in office will be favourable to them - tax cuts, worker right suppression, etc - so they're going to do what they can to ensure that he gets into office. It's about keeping him in everybody's minds, and presenting a Trump-positive narrative

@fcktheworld587 Ratings = money
