@dick_turpin I am 46, and the thought... but I guess the guy probably doesn't have to push his own pram.

@mjjzf So at 61, I finally have a grandson, and I'm like, "Will I still be alive to see him go to university? Or what about his first job or car? I really want to see that! It's a difficult choice. My parents were both only 16 years older than me, so my childhood was pretty difficult given they were basically children too, but having kids in old age brings other issues as well.

@dick_turpin I was early and mid thirties when I had mine. My girlfriend is 9 years younger than me, so I am rediscovering what it is like to have a 6-year old in the family...

@dick_turpin Well he has viable sperm at least. Is 80 the new 50? That kid may not know its dad for long, but then maybe Bob will live to 100. Who's the mother?.

@steevc Yeah, you have a point. Living to 80 these days is starting to become no achievement at all.Dunno who the mother is, obviously someone who isn't ageist. 🤷♂️

@steevc Err, excuse me. I thought I was the cynical generalist in this relationship? 😛

@dick_turpin Celebrity relationships are a mystery to me. How can you tell if someone really likes you when you are that rich? Murdoch managed to pull Jerry Hall (for a short while). Money does not guarantee happiness.

@steevc Now, sadly, Jerry is a gold digger. She goes from Brian Ferry to that shrivelled old corpse! I suppose it's the Celebs with the longest relationships that are hopefully for love. 🤷♂️

@dick_turpin She left Bryan in 77 for Jagger. Rupert was in his prime back then, but had to wait a while. I'm sure she was thoroughly checked out by the lawyers before the big day with a detailed pre-nup. He dumped her (by email), but she'll get something. As I said, celebrity marriages are weird and often short, but there are exceptions. Never a good idea to generalise.

@steevc Genarlsing makes things easier and quicker. Nobody has got the time to be specific and dot all the I's and cross all the T's.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waEC-8GFTP4
