Quitting nicotine tablets. I used 400 euros a month on this pointless nicotine source. It's going to be a difficult 2-3 days. I used the equivalent of 3 packs of cigarettes a day for years. But now with the economy how it is it's retarded to throw such a huge amount of money away on nicotine tablets.

Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. I was two packs a day at the worst. I switched to nicotine pouches and cut down a lot. Good luck! It's a hard one to kick

@diceynes @rees I consumed nicotine pretty heavily for almost 10 years and one time I sat down and actually estimated the total dollar amount I have spent on tobacco products...Let's just say I decided not to think about that ever again because there is nothing but hurt feelings in those numbers.

@Tony It's alot of money though. I think of it like this if I was starving and someone offered me a steak everyday if I quit the nicotine I should do it. That's how I frame it in my head. I'm already craving nicotine as I decided it a hour ago. But I quit 3 packs a day of cigarettes cold turkey so I have experience with quitting. It's just a luxury I can't afford. I think its worse with these nicotine tablets as they become part of your body. Just put one in your mouth after another.

Nicotine tablets would NOT be good for me. I'd just eat them like candy. I could never quit smoking cold turkey, but I switch to fine cut chew and I hate it so much I just slowly stop doing it lol.

i swapped to regular gum. for me, it's a matter of convincing myself that gum is a cigarette, if that makes sense. if i get a trigger, go for a piece of gum. i hope it helps at least a little bit, mr. bacon.

@Tony I eat so many I can't sleep as my body is too stimulated by nicotine. It's a worse product then cigarettes. More addictive. But I just bought an apartment and have much more expenses now. I probably used 20 000 $ in just 3 years on these tablets or 20 000 euros. It's insanity. In just three years🤣

I tried the gum and just end up eating the entire pack at once and then buying a pack of smokes. I noticed I think cigarettes have the highest concentrate of nicotine (aside from vaping) and it's the hardest one for me to quit cold turkey. I can moderate pouches or chew, but LOVE cigarettes. It doesn't help I legitimately enjoy tobacco and love every variety of it. 😂 Pipe tobacco is my favorite

@rees I just quit. I think what has made me quit is the devaluation of the currency of my source of income as the country I live in has a stronger currency than my home country. I lost 20% of my income of the devaluation of currency

go for a stronger flavor that lasts longer when the craving comes crawling back then think of a single piece as a cigarette.i know how you feel, i'm quitting myself and it's more of a de-stressor for me and for contemplation. it helps to identify the triggers. it's not just a physical battle but a mental one as well.i wish you luck in your journey and if you fall off a bit, don't beat yourself up, acknowledge it and understand what was the trigger so when it shows up again, you know how to handle it.

@diceynes I know they're sometimes prescribed for withdrawal from various substances. The withdrawal you're describing is going to be very difficult. Be sure you have someone that can look after you if you start getting panic attacks.
