@I_Like_Books @SallyStrange @Archivist An issue in a lot of these #evangelical churches is a dependence on preachers to provide them with an interpretation of what the #Bible teaches instead of reading it for themselves. Ironically, this dependence on church authority is 1 of the main objections #protestants had with the #catholicchurch in the #Reformation.
