Hmm... current version(s) of #Akkoma seem to have fixed the problems I was having migrating my Pleroma DB over (reaaaally slow performance - like, mega slow). I guess I'll use Akkoma for a bit now then...

@paul I thought it was just that postgres restore was really slow not anything to do with pleroma. Just looked at akkoma and it looks really cool but it does not support arm otp releases

@jason123santa yeah, that was an issue too, but I've using the same Postgres database when switching between both (I like to live dangerously), so no restore required.Previously, it _did_ work, just really slow to show timelines and effectively DoS's itself - logs showing database disconnections etc.Seems fine now on this later version - though they have fixed the database restore speed as well.

@paul I just used the official backup guide. Its making a postgres backup then restoring the backup to the pleroma database on the new install. Not good that its being really slow but the way you did it is not the recommend way.

@jason123santa > not the recommended wayyep - that's me all over  Anyway, I can switch between Rebased and Pleroma with zero issues, just Akkoma that seems to have a little more load on the DB - Akkoma does do a lot of background indexing though so I always assumed it's that.Anyway, this current version is loads better, means I can actually test it out for a bit so I'm happy :blobcatthumbsup:

@jason123santa hmm.... thought I'd switch back to Pleroma to check an issue I'm having with 2FA. The 2FA problem still exists (it worked before, I've obviously done something weird somewhere) but Pleroma performance is massively better (initial timeline load times are about 3 seconds rather than about 15)So... back to Pleroma I goooo

@paul I can only use regular pleroma since I use arm

@jason123santa I keep trying to other Pleroma forks, but still end up back on Pleroma. I think it's because development is slow-ish but reliable - the Debian of the Pleroma forks if you like :D
