@Ruusu probably not the answer you’re looking for, but I haven’t used Ubuntu (or any Linux) on the desktop since a couple of years (the screenshot in my last post was Ubuntu on WSL). I do have two headless servers (running this Akkoma and a Calckey instance) plus a Raspberry Pi, all of which run Ubuntu Server very well.Idk what the “good” distros are these days, but it’s basically the “safe” choice. People will shit on it for a lot of reasons, but the fact remains that it has the most software support and guides written for it. Used to be a sysadmin back in the day and my job was to get a mix of Debian, FreeBSD, and Windows systems to cooperate, which was as painful as it sounds. Nowadays I just want something plug and play :akko_shrug:

I do it too mostly as a joke. but its really whatever works best for the person. some people (me) arent as tech savvy as other people and I just need something that is quick and easy to get setup. expect the gnome desktop makes me want to crush my balls in a vice tbh.
