       @LewieKong@retro.pizza Absolutely. Also, sometimes thoughts need to expressed in the middle of other thoughts, which is why I constantly use semi-colons and "--"s to interrupt myself while typing. lol

Parentheses (nested (of course [sometimes with brackets [as though that would help]])); semicolons -- and em dashes (with spacing because, you know, it's gonna get HTMLified -- and HTML linebreaks are unreliable) -- somehow don't make my writing clear to other people.- Short sentences- and bullet pointssometimes do.I don't *think* I have ADHD.  But I recently learned "hyperfocus" happens with ADD/ADHD; so maybe I'm just undiagnosed.

       @mmlvx @SocialGaff @ADHDefy One of the biggest arguments I ever had with my mother (and we've had some real blowouts over the years) was over a sentence in a paper I was writing, back in high school. She thought it was too long, and suggested a way to break it up that I thought injured the sense.The next day I came up with a way of rewording it into shorter sentences that satisfied both of us.

       @publius @mmlvx @SocialGaff @ADHDefy Oh, the lengthy sentences in high school before I invented my version of multipunctuation... English teacher put it kindly & said I took after the writer I admired, H James, but that did not prevent dear David Leshan from trying to do his job & urge shorter sentences, just as your mother did. I could use his advice to get out of the quagmires I create now, so many years later (Having attempted no proper creative forms for myself--let alone a Jamesian one)
