@boilingsteam Lately #ASUS can't even get their mainboards right, something they've been designing+manufacturing for decades. Are folks expecting a more expensive device with a less performant OS to succeed simply due to name recognition?(Looks at #Apple devices) oh.....

@boilingsteam Even as a SteamDeck owner and Linux PC gamer, I can't believe you are seriously arguing that better performance and a much better screen are not going to be massive positives for the Ally.Hopefully this will be the first of many rivals and we will get a much improved SD2 sooner as a result!

@boilingsteam The headline conclusion, I don't really disagree with, but I think you are missing some of technical details, regarding performance the Z1 Extreme will be a good chunk faster than the Deck, at least at 15W, and up the Deck's APU is really good at 9-15W, where the Z1 Extreme is more designed for 15-45+?W this is also the case with the 6800U. You also assume dual fan is because it needs more cooling, it's more likely to keep volume down.
