       @aral Just seen on BBC news that video of the Texas Massacre was shared on Twitter millions of times before being taken down.   Big tech can change their social networks as much as they want,  they can't change the nature of their user base. What we have here is far better,  what you are building with the small-web is also far better as the people behind each instance care about the wider picture,  what happens on one instance has an impact on every other.

       I agree, there is nothing to do for the masses that don't want to be "saved".IMHO the best we can do is make ourselves an alternative here. Twitter/big social is commerce/pop culture the #fediverse is for community and connection. It attracts completely different types of people.
