Actual poll: overwhelming majorities support laws prohibiting discrimination against trans people.WaPo headline and reporter's tweet: "Most Americans support anti-trans policies favored by GOP."Just straight-up lying.https://files.kff.org/attachment/Topline-KFF-Washington-Post-Trans-Survey.pdf

@maxkennerly It amazes me we got four years of “We talk to Trump voters in deeply conservative communities who still support Trump” but we never get “We talked to some of the 17% of trans adults that support discrimination against trans people in public life”

@maxkennerly after the red wave 🐂💩 from the last election, and the bogus polls on tfg beating Biden this election I decided polls need to be read upside down. Thanks for the confirmation. They are trying to manufacture opinions, nor report on them.

A fair number of people replying seem to misunderstand:* "Do you support / oppose laws that..." is a policy question.* "Do you support / oppose [personal behavior | medical treatment | activity]" is not a policy question. It is not asking for an opinion on a policy. It is asking a personal preference. The one policy question WaPo asked did not find "most American support anti-trans policies favored by GOP." It found the opposite.
