@10leej it really doesn't like writing to an NFS mount.

@splitshockvirus Interesting, you sure it's not a permission thing?

@10leej no it writes fine. I think it's a latency thing. It lags the KDE interface (on steam deck).

@splitshockvirus Ah yeah probably latency. You can probably confirm that if you use a ethernet dongle.Even then why not use a deluge/transmission server and just use a frontend client on the steam deck? Probably will work out better for you.

@10leej It's hard lined connected via Ethernet, maybe it's the USB C dock? It really shouldn't be bottle necked anywhere. The only reason I'm not using my deluge server is because recently I've been using ktorrent for smaller downloads on local storage for the deck and it works fine, but as soon as I try to do anything like out of the ordinary (such as NFS mounting) it starts to act weird.I don't typically have my seedbox (TrueNAS) on all the time.

@splitshockvirus Hmm I can't find anything about the ethernet controller in the dock literally everything is about the display.Maybe try a different adapter a usb C to ethernet dongle is pretty cheap to pickup for the sake of testing.

@10leej I don't have any, at least none that I trust. USB/thunderbolt to Ethernet has always been finicky. It just generally preferred to have a dedicated NIC.Maybe the display (4k) uses to much bandwidth from the USB C port, it could be a bunch of things.
