       @dashall Yes it exists, I was not joking; I've seen it in action. Companies start using all the high margin cloud services ("it's free and this way we do not have to build anything ourselves"), then after one year realize they have to pay for it.It works for VC-funded companies, at least while there are VCs to send more free money every 18-24 months.Later, they sign a contract with AWS where they get access to lower prices in exchange for an engagement of spending a minimum amount of money on several years. I saw that happen at a company with a 7 digits *monthly* AWS bill.I used to be pissed about all of this, until I realized it was not my money and I could simply make fun of it.
